RIP Christopher Lee
The Enigma Society is sad to hear of the passing of horror legend Sir Christopher Lee. (Strangely, he dead a few days ago but this is the first we've heard of it.)
He was won of the most iconic faces in the genre of horror, having become one of the (if not THE) best Dracula on film. He also appeared in other films such as The Man with the Golden Gun, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, the second Reb Brown Captain America movie (which Jonny and I are convinced they had him for one day which is why almost all of his scenes are in the same room) and many others.
He also appeared in a couple of film franchises in his twilight years, the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit trilogies and two of the Star Wars prequels, thus cementing his legacy in geekdom forever.
I also want to point out in an extra coolness factor, Christopher Lee made heavy metal music starting in his late 80's. He put out an album to celebrate his 92nd birthday called "Metal Knight."
At an age when many others would have just retired, Sir Christopher Lee kicked ass with a light saber, led the forces of Sauron against Rohan and made heavy metal albums. He was an awesome guy and we will never see another like him again.
