Lessons I've Learned from Movies

Who says there is no educational value watching movies? I've learned many things from films over the years... for example:

Sucker Punch – Women’s mental institutions are magical sexy places.

Phonebooth – Buy a damn cell phone!

The Fifth Element – All that is necessary to save the world from a sphere of pure evil is for Bruce Willis to get over his fear of commitment.

American Psycho – Chainsaws can be projectile weapons too.

Taxi Driver – Skin Flicks are not appropriate for first dates.

Pan’s Labyrinth – Nothing can defeat the power of a child’s imagination except bullets.

Signs – Despite years of reconnaissance, it is very likely that aliens whose deadly weakness is physical contact with water would overlook that ¾ of Earth is covered in the liquid and that water does regularly fall from the sky.

Zardoz – The gun is good. The penis is evil.

The Inglorius Basterds – Hitler didn’t take his own life in 1945 but rather was gunned down along with the rest of the Third Reich in a Parisian theater in 1944.

Se7en – Kevin Spacey is evil.

The Usual Suspects – Kevin Spacey is evil.

Superman Returns – Kevin Spacey is evil… but not as evil as mountains made of Kryptonite.
