RIP "Rowdy" Roddy Piper

The Enigma Society and wrestling fans (as well as fans of chewing bubblegum and kicking ass) are sad to hear of the passing of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. I know this is a few days late in terms of the news of his passing, but I was trying to find this picture.

In 2009, I was fortunate to get to meet Roddy Piper at Wizard World Chicago. He signed a pair of "They Live" sunglasses and I got this picture with him.

Roddy Piper was a favorite of many old school wrestling fans, having an explosive combination of amazing mic skills, a willingness to push the envelope and just being tough as nails. In addition to being a WWE Hall of Fame wrestler, he went on to become an actor, appearing in the legendary John Carpenter cult classic They Live. He will be missed and remembered fondly.
